Homemade Powder Dish Washer Detergent WITHOUT Borax that REALLY WORKS!

My sister in law stirred me up this morning, challenging me to come up with a powder dishwasher detergent. Since I loved my original recipe the liquid version I did not need another. However, since she was wanting a powdered one I decided to come up with something for her.

When I first started making homemade recipes, powder detergent was one thing that I made but was not to happy with it since it left spots on my dishes or an ugly film on them. This is why I decided to go liquid and since then I stayed that way. After much review and searching,  I believe that borax had a lot to do with it. So after making this new batch and testing it, my dishes have finally come out spotless and sparking like new. I think I might have to stay with this one since it is much easier and less time consuming for me.

Ingredients:

3/4 Cup Citric Acid or Lemi-Shine ( I used the citric acid)
3/4 Cup Washing Soda
1/4 Cup Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Kosher or Sea Salt

Mix all ingredients and store in a airtight jar.

Use: 1 tablespoon or a bit less is only required for each load of dishes.
