Homemade Body Wash ~ Thick & Creamy

I came up with this body wash because my daughter suffers from very dry skin. I was getting tired of paying for the prescription body wash and lotion which really never completely took away the dryness. I had to come up with something for her. I had experimented with several recipes and they seemed OK but she still had patches of dry skin here and there. This particular recipe seemed to work and I can honestly say that she does not have any more dry skin and her face, neck, & arms look normal again. Since making this, almost my entire family uses it (one daughter still likes her bar soap). I personally noticed a huge difference in my skin. At first, I was a bit weary because after the first use I thought it felt too oily. Once I dried my skin off, I was amazed. I was more amazed the next morning (I took the shower in the night) when I woke up and noticed that my skin still felt amazingly soft. This recipe is for a large 32 ounce bottle, it can be reduced fairly easy but if you have a large family like mine then this amount is for you.

    Ingredients:

                2 Cups Liquid Castlile Soap
1 Cup Coconut Oil (or any butter will do)
1 Cup Sweet Almond Oil (any carrier oil)
              1 Tbsp Vegetable Glycerin
    1 Tsp Vitamin E Oil
20-30 Drops of Essential Oil - Optional

Directions:

Melt your coconut oil or butter before mixing with other ingredients. After coconut oil is melted, combine with all your ingredients and mix with an immersion blender. If you do not have an immersion blender, you can use a regular blender. Pour into your bottle and use :)

I used an old 32 ounce Castile bottle that I had left. (Waste Not!!)

Nice & Creamy

This produces a lot of suds. Not close to watered down.

    1. Probably like most naturally made products, without any unwanted preservatives, it will be good for 3months
