Sure, vinegar is great doing all those things as well. But the smell, it lingers forever. When I clean my bathroom or kitchen with it, my family begs me to do something about the smell. Yes, I have tried to infuse orange and lemon peels to get that citrus smell but after a few minutes the smell of vinegar does come through. Finally, I have a great alternative that my family likes and so do I :)
The combination of ingredients below work great together. Ammonia & dawn is the cleaning agent, they both cut grease, grime, stuck on food, finger prints, stuck on toothpaste, you name it, it does it. Alcohol has a dual purpose. It not only is a germ killer (which is really great in the bathroom) it also helps with a getting that streak free, sparkling shine you want to see on your glass, mirrors or bathroom fixtures. Don't want the smell of alcohol or ammonia, add a few drops of essential oils, this surely will awaken your senses :)
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup rubbing alcohol
1/8 cup ammonia
2 drops dawn dish soap
water to fill
1-2 drops of food color (optional)
Few drops of essential oil (optional)
Directions:
Fill spray 3/4 way up with water. Add all your ingredients. If any space is left, fill with water. Shake and use.
