Homemade Lavender Hyaluronic Face Serum

As I become older & wiser, I learned that it does not take $100 to make myself look and feel good. I have become more aware as I get older what goes into my beauty products. My younger self didn't care much but now with children and with age, I realize that all these chemicals that are out there are not for our own good but for the good of the companies pocket.

I love face products that have Hyaluronic Acid in them. I does make my face feel absolutely wonderful. However, I do not like the price of most of them. It can cost anywhere from $40 to $100. Who wants to pay that amount for an ounce. Not Me!

I recently came across a YouTube video of someone showing how to make your own serum. She definitely caught my attention. Right away I went online to find the ingredients and I purchased them. Within days I had what I needed and began my own DIY project. Please note, I did not follow her recipe. This video is good instruction and explains what hyaluronic is.

Hyaluronic acid attracts more than 100x it's weight in moisture which is great for dry skin and fine lines. By using this serum it will plump the skin and make you look more youthful and hydrated.

Along with lavender hydrosol which is a very gentle antibacterial, making it useful in treating acne, and can help balance both oily and dry complexions, these two combos are a win, win.

Ingredients:

1 ounce Distilled water or Lavender Hydrosol
1 vitamin E capsule (natural perservative)

Directions:

Place your water into your bottle followed by hyaluronic acid. Place lid back on and give it a good shake. There will be chunks of hyaluronic acid in your serum but don't worry, it will dissolve in a few hours. Place in a cool dark place for at least 6 hours or more. Once your serum has become nice and thick, add your vitamin E. Now your ready to use. Please keep it stored in a cool, dark place or keep in fridge. I personally keep mine under my bathroom sink and have not had any issues with it at all.
