Homemade Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Belgium Waffles

My family loves Chocolate Chip anything. So, when I made these waffles a few months ago, they wanted more the next day, the day after that and so on. I felt I was making these every day. I had to do something about that. So, the next time I made them I increased the batter so I could have plenty left and I froze the rest of them. Now, my children have these whenever they want and I was no longer a slave in the kitchen. This recipe will make 24 large Belgium waffles or 36-48 regular size waffles.

Make 24 Large Belgium Waffles

Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking soda
4 eggs, beaten
4 cups buttermilk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  •  Preheat your waffle maker.
  •  In a bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Mix together to combine.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and butter until well combined. Pour wet mixture into dry mixture, stir in chocolate chips and stir until just combined.
  •  Give the waffle maker a spray with Pam and pour batter into a preheated prepared waffle iron. Cook until waffles are crisp and golden, about 3 minutes (exact timing will depend on your particular waffle maker). Krups waffle maker will take about 1/4 cup of batter per waffle.
